报告摘要：In this talk, I will introduce verbally closed subgroups of groups. These subgroups come from studying algebraic geometry over groups. I will sketch a proof given by A. Myasnikov and V. Roman’kov that every verbally closed subgroup of a free group F of finite rank is a retract and then describe some potential research on this topic.

报告人简介：

吴建春副教授，2009年获北京大学博士学位，现任职于苏州大学数学科学一分快三 。他主要从事低维拓扑与几何群论的研究，相关工作发表在Algebraic and Geometric Topology、Osaka Journal of Mathematics、Topology and its Applications、Journal of Algebra、International Journal of Algebra and Computation等国际著名期刊上。
